IMP Design Team Ashley Krueger | 2022 Week in the Life

Hey friends! It is Ashley and today I wanted to share how I am documenting my 2022 Week In The Life project. I was inspired by the days of the week labels designed by Paper Hum for the IMP Go To Techniques Collab Kit. Each of those day labels was a different color and coordinated with other elements and papers throughout the kit. It was a perfect fit!

I decided to add my Week in the Life into my Little Summer Joy Travelers Notebook. To separate it from the rest of my summer, I started with a title page using this lovely floral paper from the kit. I printed it so that I would have the distressed ledger paper detail on the edge of both sides of the spread. Then I embellished the right hand side with a Week in the Life diecut and a perforated word strip from my stash and used a label from the IMP Go To Techniques Collab Kit

The approach for each day is to take my photos and create a photo grid. I printed the photos a little smaller than 1x1in and 2x2in. Each day has a little bit of a different layout but I left a 1×2 space to accommodate a label from the kit that coordinated with the day of the week label.

Next for each day, I trimmed the center page of the spread. To one side I added a patterned paper and a word strip. On the back is the day of the week label. For these divider pages, I used a combination of papers and cards from the IMP Go To Techniques Collab Kit and the Add On kit from The Practical Scrapper

I chose to print the day of the week label out at approximately 2.25x8in. I centered it on the trimmed down page. Then I added number stickers for the date.

Lastly, I put all of my journaling on an older Ali Edwards journal cards that I enlarged to fit the notebook page.

If you would like to watch the first few days of the project come together, I do have a process video. I will be adding more videos as I complete more days and a full flip through once it’s complete.

I hope you consider joining the Go To Techniques Class or just grabbing this kit! So many lovely patterned papers and cards.
