Sahlin Studio Creative Team | 2022 Project Life Layout With September Featured Kit Composition

Hi friends and welcome back! Today I am pulling Project Life back off the shelf, it’s been a few weeks or so since I last worked on any of my PL albums. I always love that being on design teams reminds me to pull those out and make a layout, and today it was the Featured Kit over at Sahlin Studio, which is Composition. These digital kits always make it so easy to pull a layout together pretty quickly, so follow along with me today. If you’d like to see other layouts from this year’s album, check out this link: 2022 Project Life Album.

My photos for this week had a lot of different colors that happened to show up in the Composition kit! I’ve pulled the blue, yellow, greens, and a bit of red too from the photos, and chose journal cards from the kit that also repeated those colors. The kit brings it all together beautifully! Our stories were from the month of May, which was pretty typical and quiet for us. I had an unfortunate accident with one of my freshly printed and cut Traci Reed digital kits where it fell on the floor (!!!) so I used a bit of word art for a bit of humor. I had a screenshot from using a filter to make myself into a Pandora character, that was pretty weird but fun! My title card was fun to create using stamps from Ali Edwards, puffy flower stickers from Elle’s Studio, and a flower stamp from Studio Calico. This was a great opportunity to bring in some florals to the page, which is something I always like to do. Especially in the spring!

Our lillies that live beside the driveway exploded with blooms this month! Notice how the photo repeats the diagonal line of the title card on the other side of the page. You’ll also find red on this side in the puffy stickers, more flower puffy stickers, and in Nick’s graduation robe. Remember the Pandora filter photo with the brilliant blue? That is offset by the blue label card from the kit, and the only embellishments I added were white and green to pop against that beautiful blue. That blue also appears in the photo of Addison’s kids’ album. Look how stuffed it is! Time for Volume 02. Our graduate, Nick, went off with Addison to find free donuts for graduates, he wore his cap and gown and came home victorious with three dozen (ha!), but then the car broke down and we had to go rescue them. Which in the end made it even funnier once everything got ironed out. The last story was about my studio and the new worktops we put in! I wish they looked this neat and cleared off now – ha – but it is really cool to have all this space. I feel really lucky. We built the printer stand that fits underneath. This was a fun little project and I love how it tucks under, which was what gave me the extra workspace. Excellent!
