October Daily 2022 Days 10 Through 12
Hi friends and welcome to my last installment for October Daily for this year! This has been such a fun creative journey and I have been loving every second! I have been continuing to work through this album this week and have Days 10 through 12 to share with you here. If you’d like to see the other blog posts for this album project, click here: 2022 October Daily. So let’s jump right in to Day 10!
Day 10 | Feels Like Home:
I have to say that being on the Traci Reed creative team has definitely helped me with this album project this year! Being able to create foundation page with her beautiful collections, and then being able to also complete those pages with those deadlines is a big motivator! I am loving it. For Day 10, I created this page using the Hearth & Hollow collection. This collection has a digital stamp that is a darling collection of hand drawn frames, and I thought they would be perfect for a page that looks like picture frames hanging on the wall. Only these frames would have some of the gorgeous patterned papers overlaid, and boy did that turn out extra cute! I added a few of my favorite photos of our home that make it feel like home to me, and then I also added just some of the fun stickers around the page. For my number, I used a cork 10 from my stash. For my title, I used the orange alphabet in the digital kit, along with physical puffy alphas from Felicity Jane.
Day 11 | Lunch At The Loop:
Day 11 also came together thanks to the foundation pages I made for the Traci Reed Creative Team! I had created this letterboard inspired page earlier with the October Mood collection, so I decided to use that for today’s story. My story was about our lunch at a local pizza joint called The Loop. We were able to eat outside, which is one of my favorite things to do! The weather was perfect and it was just one of the best lunch dates ever. To compliment the letterboard page, I decided to repeat the black wood grain pattern as the background on the left side, and added a pocket for my photos and journal card. Again planning this out using Photoshop made it so easy to pull it all together, even easier to print, and I love the outcome. The pocket is actually a digital pocket in the kit, and I just printed it out, cut it with a border around it and then folded the border in to create the pocket. Then I punched a part of a circle into the top and adhered it down – and there you have an easy pocket! The photos and the journal card tuck in there perfectly. I added a few physical embellishments, the acrylic pieces are all from Colorcast Designs and add the perfect pop! of dimension!
Day 12 | Twelve Selfies on Day 12!
My story for this day had already been decided, and that was really nice to know exactly what was going here. I left the original foundation page open so that it could be used for a variety of different story ideas: twelve books, twelve movies, twelve snacks, but I decided to use it for twelve selfies that I have taken throughout the year. The purpose of layouts like this, for me, is to celebrate exactly where I am right now. I’ve been focusing on growth for the last 8 years, and quite frankly I am a bit exhausted from that! So it was nice to create this layout from a place of simply accepting and loving myself exactly as I am today. I encourage you to create something similar! Celebrate ourselves!
The hard work for this layout was already done when I created the foundation page back in September. Foundation pages for the win! All I had to do was select my photos, crop them down into circles for printing, and then cut them out. I was also really smart when I created the foundation page, because I left two of the circles on the page blank and they were perfect for my journaling! I added a few more embellishments, and also brought in some Elle’s Studio puffy stickers just for a little pop of color and dimension. I absolutely love how this page turned out!
That is all I have for today! Thank you so much for following along with me. See you back here again soon.
