Light The Path Design Team Akansha Sahgal | September 2021 Timeline

Hey everyone,

Hope you all are doing well and I am so excited to share my scrapbook layout for this month’s (September) prompt “Timeline”. While working on this prompt and remembering my journey over the years, I realized something special. I found that my journey of growth over the years had so many similarities with my journey at Light The Path.

I started with printing out this pretty timeline journal card on full size copy paper as it seemed the perfect start. I selected three of my photos and cut them out in a circle shape. The three photos that I chose, I placed them in an ascending order from top to bottom using foam tape. All the three photos for me has a special memory attached to them in my journey of growing mentally and emotionally.

After adding the photos on the left side, it was time to spice up the right side. I grabbed some of my stamps with sentiments like celebrate, good times and more such happy ones. I chose bright happy ink colors for stamping to symbolize looking on the brighter side of the journey always. After that, it was time to share about my “then” and “now” and the lined labels with some floral elements looked like a perfect fit for that.

In the end I just went ahead with adding some more details like the pretty labels below every photo to add the message “you are growing”. Also added the hexagon labels for adding the date and the timeline heading on top of the layout. The best thing for me in this layout were the bright colors that helped me think about the bright and positive learning only.
