Light The Path December 2020 Prompt Previews

 

Hi everyone and welcome to a very special prompt preview this month! December marks the last prompt for our creative workshop, Light The Path! We will be wrapping up the workshop this month, on the 20th, and are looking forward to beginning a new year together. It has been such an honor to develop and create this workshop, and to connect with others who are on this healing journey. The information, inspiration, and digital products in the workshop have been phenomenal tools and have changed lives. Our theme this month is You Are The Greatest Gift. Working on a holiday theme, I decided to focus on how our healing, our hard work, is the greatest gift that we can give ourselves and our communities and our families. Doing this emotional work is hard, but we are showing up for ourselves. We are doing this thing. We are our own greatest gift. Learning this about myself has helped me gain acceptance that this is part of my journey and it reflects on my grit and determination to grow and heal. All survivors who are showing up to heal deserve to feel the same way. Healing deserves to feel like an empowering experience. That is our goal here at Light The Path.

 

 

I asked Elif to design our kit with those ideas in mind. We decided to use a color palette that was winter-inspired, with an innocence that feels a bit like the movie, Beauty and the Beast. She has created delicate branches and soft birds to convey the feeling of freedom and stability. Our color palette is soothing, fresh, and bold all at once, sort of like flinging the door open to possibilities. She has also included my favorite word art: The Magic Is In You.

 

 

This month’s prompt is an opportunity to reflect on this year, which has held so much growth, even in the midst of complete chaos. I am so proud of our Light Bearers, who have continued to focus on their own healing this year. The prompt is also a chance to look at the future with confidence and hope. To have the confidence to continue the healing path, knowing that each thing we learn about ourselves  leads us closer to loving our selves. This is the hope.
