IMP Blog Team Jill Kane | May Craft Your Word
Hey all, it’s Jill. This month I’m working on updates to my One Little Word project, or as I’m calling it, Craft Your Word. For May, I’ve always created an eight photo page for my ring binder album. I select eight photos from the last six months that feel like my word, which is Craft. Then, I sort through my stash for a common element to add to each photo.
This year I reversed the process and found a common element to add my photos to, this being the blush colored journal card from The Practical Scrapper’s Discover Life digital kit.
Meagan’s designs just scream springtime! I’m really needing some pinks and blooms right now (spring is taking it’s sweet time to journey to Minnesota)! These frame cards put a smile on my face and made this month’s crafting super easy.
There are many times when I like to hide my journaling. This time it’s linked to not wanting to “interrupt” the look of the four photos together. Simple Stories makes these great stick-on pockets that create instant flip-ups. I perfect place to store a timely sentiment card and just a little journaling for the month. The month card is from Paper Hum Co.’s Monthly Journal Cards digital kit. I’ve printed the entire file on vellum and I’m connecting them with an eyelet to another journal card. Together they are a consistent element throughout my album. Love the bold + simple illustration design.
