December Daily 2022 Days 09 and 10 | Documenting Down Days
Hi friends, today I am sharing Days 09 and 10 in my 2022 December Daily. These couple of days I wasn’t feeling well and so I thought I would document the people, places and things that brought me comfort and joy. I hope you are having a Merry December, and if you’ve found yourself feeling down, I hope beautiful people and things will comfort you. If you’d like to see more of this project as it has progressed, check out this link: 2022 December Daily.
My first strategy for these two days was to keep it simple, with one page layouts for each. This meant they would be next to each other in the album, so I kept with a very basic green and red color palette. There were a few days that I was resting and just trying to feel better, I had a doctor appointment, which always helps, and I also discovered that having this little tree visible to me from my pillow comforted me! I loved having those lights there. I highly recommend having a Christmas tree in your bedroom.
For Day 09 I started with this gorgeous circle transparency from Ali Edwards last year. I decided to print and cut my photo to fit behind it, and then I created these simple circles to house my day number and journaling. The green watercolor is from the Ali Edwards digital patterned papers from last year. I attached the circle and photo with a brad I had in my stash from My Mind’s Eye, no telling how long I’ve had that! I also added just a few tiny puffy stickers to repeat the red.
For Day 10 I printed a full page photo of this little corner of my bedroom and brought in this grid transparency. I chose it because it sort of reminded me of a window, and it didn’t compete with the photo or the day number. The day number for both of these days is from Ali Edwards, keeping it simple and consistent. The little wreath is also from Ali Edwards, attached using red line tape, and then I also added a few tiny red enamel dots to tie in with the red on the left. For my journaling, I added a very small label from Crate Paper, along with a few word strips and those tiny enamel hearts.
That is all I have for today! I will be putting the album aside until next week, and I wish you all the merriment this holiday season brings. Thank you so much for following along with me, I am always so excited to have you check out my work! See you again soon!
