2023 Documenting Plans In A Life Crafted Album
Hi friends, it is time to begin thinking about our plans for documenting in 2023 and today I wanted to share what I’ve been thinking about. Over the last ten years I have been creating Project Life and have loved that album format so much. It has allowed me to document our family life in an organized way, it provided homes for the seemingly random stories of life. I am so deeply thankful for the albums I’ve created, and of course I still have albums that need to be completed, but for now it is time for me to make changes. I am excited to shift my memory keeping in 2023 and can’t wait to share it with you! I’ve created a short chat video to share my thoughts with you below.
This video will let you know what kinds of things you will be seeing on my channel, on my blog, and across my social media accounts this year, including:
- 2023 in a 6×8 Life Crafted Album
- 2020, 21, and 22 Project Life Layouts 2020 and 21 October Daily
- 2022 December Daily
- 2023 December Daily when the time comes
- Art journal pages to continue documenting my healing journey
- Kids Albums Project which is 12×12 traditional and hybrid scrapbook layouts
- Any other projects and layouts that inspire me!
I am primarily a hybrid scrapbooker these days, I love using Photoshop + my Silhouette Cameo to make fun and happy pages! I will continue on the Traci Reed, Sahlin Studio, and Clique Kits Creative Teams. You will find on an average 2-3 process videos here on my channel per week, along with accompanying blog posts.
I’ve already been sharing some pages in my 2023 album, which you’ve already seen and I wanted to take an opportunity to share those layouts with you here! My Introduction page was created for the Traci Reed Designs CT, and was a scraplift of Alexandra Skifton.
Check out my full process video here!
I used my Silhouette to cut out all these tiny hearts in a heart shape and backed it with one of the patterned papers in the Keep Chasing Rainbows kit. I decided to not include photos on this layout, just the handwritten letter to the year 2023 which I wrote onto one of the journal spots in the kit. I added a few embellishments around the letter, and took a bit of creative license by stretching that word banner across the page! That meant adding a few more clouds and of course these beautiful glitter enamel dots from Cocoa Daisy. I especially love the rainbow hearts across the bottom of the page.
I also recently created this layout in my 2023 album, for the Traci Reed Designs CT using the Filled With Intentions digital kit. I went to Instagram and borrowed a few fun filters to make these great selfies – don’t you love my eye lashes?! And then I wrote out ten intentions for myself going in to the New Year. I created fun little home bases for the photos and different elements from the kit, cropping them to the speech bubble shape. And then I just had a blast adding the fun florals and stars and hearts around the page. You can see my blog post with full tutorial video I wrote for the Traci Reed blog here: Photoshop In Five With Theresa. You can see my process for this layout here:
The speech bubbles were so much fun to play with! I cut my photos into that shape in my Silhouette, and I also cut some of the travelers notebook signatures and patterned papers to that shape. The journaling was typed out onto a half of one of the travelers notebook signatures, and my favorite part is that it’s longer journaling – longer than I would write out for sure! Then I just had so much fun embellishing all of the speech bubbles, adding stars, butterflies, hearts, arrows, and the beautiful florals from the collection. There is so much fun to look at here!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you’ve found some inspiration for your own scrapbooking adventures this year and I hope you have a super creative year!
