December Daily 2021 Days 21 Through 23
Hi friends and welcome back to December Daily 2021! I am hopping back over to this album to get it all finished up this week and then next week it will be mostly this year’s December Daily for a while! Hooray! Today I am sharing Days 21 through 23 with you, I hope it’s ok that I’ve put all the process into one video for you. Getting down to this place of being almost finished helps make the process go so much quicker. If you’d like to see the progress of this album so far, check out this link: December Daily Album 2021.
Follow along with my process here!
Day 21 | The Nutcracker Ornaments
My story for this day was about our ornaments we purchased at the Nutcracker Ballet. I placed them on the tree at the last minute and I just love adding beautiful things to our tree! These have such fond memories attached to them and I think it is important to document these memories. I had created this foundation page earlier last year using the wreath transparencies from Ali Edwards, placed onto the green star patterned paper. So pretty! I used one of the circles for the photo of the ornament, and the other free circle is for journaling. I decided to place my number at the bottom center, and then have the title coming out to the right hand corner along with a word strip banner and a few tiny hollies.
What the page looks like in the album now:
Day 22| The Cranberry Bundt Cake, A New Tradition
This year I wanted to try to make a Bundt cake, because I don’t think I had ever tried one! We chose this recipe from Pinterest: Cranberry Cake Recipe which turned out amazing (!!!) and looked stunning at our Christmas breakfast! One of the things I am loving about making this album after Christmas is being able to include photos from after the big event, and this template from Ali Edwards allowed me to do just that. I included two photos of us preparing the cake, and then the cake at our breakfast. It’s so pretty, and the layout needed the perfect embellishments to finish it. The gold on white number worked beautifully again, along with the two red transparency hearts and a few light blue acrylic stars.
Day 23 | The Gifts, Pausing to Reflect On Our Blessings
My story for Day 23 is one I include each and every year as a reminder and an expression of gratitude for how far we have all come as a blended family. After all the gifts are wrapped we hide them in the closet so the kids can bring them down all together on Christmas Eve, and it’s no secret they take up a large portion of our closet! I include this story not to brag, but rather to remember the years we had less. I’ve used my favorite background page, the triangle wreath I made with Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks. I think this turned out so stunning.
Here is how it looks next to Day 22 in the album:
These pages just get better and better, don’t they?! All leading up to the big day. I will share that, plus my final walk through, later this week. See you then!
