Traci Reed Designs Creative Team | All Is Calm and All Is Bright Release!!!

Hi friends and welcome to the Christmas Release for the Traci Reed Designs Creative Team! Traci has launched TWO gorgeous collections this week for all your December documenting, called All is Calm and All Is Bright. I am participating in the YouTube hop for both of these collections, and I hope you will head over to see the other amazing scrapbookers who are sharing their inspiration with these kits. I’ve been working pretty steadily on December Daily foundation pages for my 2022 album, and so that is what I’ve created with these collections. First, let me share All Is Calm and the pages I made with that collection!

The All Is Calm collection had these beautiful stars that reminded me of a quilt, so I brought them into my Silhouette software and cut out a few with the patterned papers. I laid them out on one of the solid background papers, placing them on the diagonal for a very dynamic page design! I added a few stars on top for dimension, along with a title and a label. My plan is to print my photos later in December and cut them out in the shape of the stars, and just add those on top of some of the un-embellished stars. I will add my date at the time as well.

 

 

For another page with All Is Calm, I decided to use the beautiful plaid as a vellum pocket. I also really loved the row of Christmas trees in the stickers, so I printed those out mirrored and used those as a border for the insert into the pocket. The insert is another of the patterned papers, don’t you just love these holly branches with the red holly berries on the green? For the pocket, I printed two sheets of the plaid onto vellum and then sewed them together, leaving the one side open. I punched a half circle on the open side, sort of like a library pocket, and I also punched the holes so it will go in my album. As a final thing, I added a number 5 from my stash, layered on top of some more of those fun trees! And then I embellished the little wreath and around the number 5 with a few tiny enamel stars and dots from Crate Paper Mittens and Mistletoe.

 

 

For the All Is Bright collection, I was super inspired by these amazing light strands included in the stickers pack! I thought they would be adorable used as a frame around a photo, so I printed out my patterned paper as a background, traced the light strands to create the cut out, and then layered the lights on top. I did all that in the Silhouette software, joining the two light strands so the frame would be cut all the way out. Then once I put it all together, I’ve used the title at the top, and the embellishment cluster at the bottom to hide where the light strands were joined together! I also was absolutely thrilled with the alphabet sets in this collection, they are rainbow stripe and rainbow snowflake alphabets! I’ve used the 25 here just to show how pretty they are! I cannot wait to use these numbers this year!
