Hi friends and welcome back to the blog! Today I have a hybrid scrapbook Layout I made for the Sahlin Studio Creative Team. Each month on the Sahlin Studio blog, Krista offers a free digital template and it’s always fun to play along and create a page using that template. This month’s template provides some great spaces for photos, but I chose to pare it down a bit and just have one large photo. You can see other hybrid layouts I’ve created here: 12 x 12 Hybrid Scrapbook Layouts. Check out my process video below.
For my layout, I wanted to document this little corner of our living room that we redecorated last year. One of the things we “did during our pandemic lockdown” was to order new sofa and chairs for our living room. This was part of an entire home redecorating project, and one of the longest ones. Turns out, we ordered our sofa in February or March, and it did not arrive until November. The chair arrived sometime in September, along with the round Target chair, and I just loved how this part turned out. All of it was definitely worth the wait, and now is quite the story to tell. I chose the Sahlin Studio Gather kit for this layout, mostly because I loved the word art and planned to use that as the title for the page. I turned the template on its side so I could use a vertical photo, and you can also see how I used a patterned paper as the background. I also stamped a few leaves around the page, using a Felicity Jane stamp set, and I added a few acrylic leaves from Colorcast Designs. Just to add a bit of dimension and texture!
That is all for today! Thanks so much for joining me, see you again soon.
