Project Life 2017 Week 07 | Embellishing the Hybrid Layout!!!
Hi guys, today I am sharing how I embellish my Project Life pages once they have been created and printed! This layout was created in Photoshop using the Lynn Grieveson Lots of Pockets templates and A Love Story collection from Paislee Press.
Our stories for this week included Valentine’s Day, unseasonably warm wonderful weather, and wonderful days together as a family. Most of the photos I included were taken while we romped in the sunshine, enjoying the warmth while it lasted. Then there are a few supporting photos from Valentines, plus a weather capture from my phone.
I absolutely adore the collage feel this template gives the layout overall. There were so many awesome photos this week that it was hard to narrow it down. In the end this layout holds thirteen and I love every single one!
I began with the focal point, the place your eye travels to first, and it is a photo looking up the street from our garage. Typically I leave lots of sky showing in these photos, but this time I left the pavement so it could be the base for the week and date.
The word art I added in Photoshop made me really happy as well. They just add another easy layer!
The right hand side centers around a secondary focal point created by this photo of Alan and me.
The other photos on this side tell so many micro stories (a term coined by Ali Edwards to describe the smaller stories that make up the whole of a Project Life layout).
Even though I had several typed journal spots in the layout, plus a few labels here and there, I still wanted to include hand-written journaling around the border of both pages. I love how it turned out and I especially love that I just captured some of my thoughts in process, some overall feelings about these photos and these days.
Thanks so much for being here and for following along on these layouts! See you soon!
