October Daily 2022 Foundation Pages Round Up Post Plus A Freebie!
Hi friends and welcome back! As you may have seen in the past few weeks, I have been quite busy making foundation pages for my 2022 October Daily album! Today I’d like to share all of those pages in a round up post so you can see all that I have created so far in this album, all in one place. If you are new to the concept of foundation pages, these are a set of scrapbook layouts that don’t have photos or stories yet, and the plan is to fill those in during the time period that the album is created for. Foundation pages were begun as a concept by Ali Edwards specifically for December Daily, which is a daily album project created throughout the month of December. The album concept has been adopted for October as well, and the purpose of foundation pages is to help us be able to accomplish more in our albums throughout the month itself. I love foundation pages and have found them to be an important part of finishing daily album projects! I was super excited to have the chance to work on these and I hope you find them inspiring, whether you work with foundation pages, or prefer to create without them! You can follow along with this album project through this link: 2022 October Daily. Check out this walk through video I made introducing this album project!
The binder I am using was purchased from Cardinal Planners on Instagram. The adorable planner charm is from Pine and Peony Studio at Etsy. There are quite a few photos to share with you, so I will post them without many words. Only to let you know my sources and provide links for you! First up is this fun page with the Traci Reed Goldenrod collection. This one is brand new and was just recently released!
This page came together with Traci Reed’s October Mood, A wonderful fall collection that will fit beautifully in Halloween and fall layouts. I pulled the messy circles from the kit, printed them onto vellum, and then lined them in a grid pattern for a 12 on 12 page. You could use this kind of page for 12 favorites, 12 books, 12 snacks, 12 favorite movies, 12 favorite people, or even a page showing photos of yourself!
My concept for this page was drawn from a letterboard. I wanted to incorporate a fall quote and these alphabets in the October Mood collection were perfect. The white space around my quote was perfect for some of the fun embellies and stickers!
I do love some Hocus Pocus and cannot wait for the release of this movie! This is one page I made with a specific story in mind. I grabbed a screenshot of the movie poster from the Disney+ Facebook page, and then I cut out the cauldron five times to layer together for the cut file. This cauldron is a digital stamp in the Hocus Pocus digital kit, and it makes the perfect space for a shaker pocket!
This page also is created with the Traci Reed Harvest Moon collection. I took a Traci Reed Sketch and turned it into a notebook page, leaving space for a large photo on the left, and journaling in the floral card on the right. I will also add my day number when the time comes.
This page is a fun insert I did for Sahlin Studio, using the Project Mouse Halloween kit! I printed and cut the circle embellishments in the kit to create my grid and adhered those onto the transparency (Bella Blvd.) Just for fun, I also created the tab inserts using one of the patterned papers from the kit and the tab insert die from Studio Calico.
I also created a very simple October calendar in Canva, and you are invited to use this calendar in your own October projects if you wish. Click on the image below for direct download:
With that, October is now officially begun! I will be sharing my progress in this album throughout the month, typically on Fridays here on the blog, and throughout the weeks on my YouTube channel. Thank you so much for following along! I hope you have a Happy Fall Yall!
