Hi everyone! Kate here, today I’m sharing a layout made with this month’s Light The Path kit, designed by Neftali Zambrano. I based my journaling on my writing in this month’s workbook. I found the prompts very helpful in helping me get through some negative feelings I’ve been having. Focusing on my sources of light was a great exercise that I found rejuvenating.
I made this layout in the project life app, which is a great way to make digital layouts on the go, on a tablet or phone. I really liked the journaling cards in this month’s kit, and this app is made for putting together cards and photos. I typed out my words from the workbook, and wrote down some affirmations that have been helping me keep grounded this month. I used the free-form text tool in the app to place text in the boxes and use multiple fonts on the same card.
I enjoyed thinking up some new affirmations this month, and was inspired to make an affirmations mini journal for a friend. If you’re a Light the Path member you can check it out in the inspiration pages for this month.
I chose a picture with my beautiful kids for the first page, they are defiantly one of my sources of light. This was taken just before Christmas; my eldest turned 18 in December, which felt significant. The other photo was taken at ikea, the light arrows reminded me month of this s theme: where we are. y like taking ‘shoefies’, it’s an opportunity to pause, think about where I am and with whom, and connect with the day’s journey. It’s also a good way for me to take a picture of myself, even when I don’t feeling like showing my face!
These pages are 6×8 inches and will be perfect printed out and slipped into full page pockets in my album. 1 hope you’ve enjoyed reading my past today, let me know if you’ve used the PL app before in the comments. Have a good one!
Love, Kate x
