Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing five fun ways to document your Valentine’s Day, especially if you are looking to create a special gift for someone you really love! These are some of the gifts I have given to my husband over the years that we have been together, and they truly are some of the most meaningful projects I have ever done. To see some other romantic pages I have created about our relationship together, check out this link: Documenting Our Relationship.
So I thought I would share a few more photos of these adorable projects for you. Also, where I have detailed flip throughs I will include those links for you. I hope you are inspired by these treasures and will go create something special for the person you love too!
Mixed Media Canvas:
This lovely piece was created to document our first date! We had been talking and having play dates for a few weeks at this point, and on this evening we were able to go on our real first date. We were so excited and happy to be together! I layered on paints and patterned papers, along with so many fun dimensional embellishments. Alan keeps this in his office these days.
Mini Album/Chipboard Album:
This mini album is built on a chipboard album that resembles a children’s book, of sorts. We had professional photos taken by our friend Kelli Gowdy, and I took some of my favorites to add to this little book. A lot of the product in this album was from Authentique and My Mind’s Eye.
Mini Album (in the style of a junk journal):
This little album came together simply by cutting apart some of the cut apart sheets from Crate Paper Kiss Kiss, folding them in half, and then sewing them into a notebook. I added the transparency cover and then layered on photos + embellishments. So simple! The album documents a random snow day in the middle of January, and I dragged Alan out into the back yard to take some fun photos. You can see a more detailed flip through of this video here: Crate Paper Mini Album| February Love.
A Special Album:
This little mini was created for Alan’s birthday one year. I gathered photos and notes from each of our children, plus photos of me and Alan together. Tags and journal cards from Ali Edwards made it super simple to pull it all together! You can also see the flip through here: Alan’s Mini Album.
This is the simplest way to make a quick card, especially if you are short on time! I simply cut one strip of patterned paper from Pink Paislee (measures 12″ x 3″) and then folded it to make the base. I added very simple chipboard embellishments + words, and all done!
Aren’t those fun ideas! I would love to see what you are making this Valentine’s Day! Thanks so much for joining me today. See you again soon!
