Hello friends! Today is such an exciting day for Light The Path! We are blooming and growing here and it makes my heart so happy to see this workshop making a difference in the world. Our mission for 2021 is to continue to reach out into the community, and as a part of that mission we have selected an incredible Design Team! We had so many amazing applications submitted and I am delighted to introduce you to our 2021 Design Team. This year you will be seeing their work and hear their stories as they will write for the blog and create inspiration layouts for the workshop. I am so excited for you to meet them and ask you to follow them all so you can encourage them as they encourage our Light Bearers!
I am Akansha Sahgal and I hail from India. I have loved paper crafting from my early childhood only. But I started taking it seriously from 2013 and in 2016 I decided to turn my passion into my profession and started with my own venture of handmade gifting. I had been scrapbooking since my venture started but it was in 2018 when I realized that scrapbooking in itself can be so addicting and therapeutic. Scrapbooking for me, is a way to express my emotions as well as document my life’s memories. I mostly like to work in smaller journals or traveler notebooks over the 12 by 12 pages. I love using different styles and techniques in my layouts as scrapbooking is the time when I can be the most creative without any boundaries.

My name is Aneika Walton!
I like to bring a splash of FAB to everything I do. I’m passionate about documenting memories and my day is not complete without my planner. You can usually find me in my craft room scrapbooking, journaling, sewing or something random.

Hey friends! I am so excited and honored to be part of the 2021 Light The Path design team. This is such an amazing, multifaceted community and I am looking forward to growing through this workshop and creating alongside you all! Right now, I am really loving working in 6×8 albums where I can incorporate pocket pages and art journal pages all in one place. I currently live in the rural mountains of Eastern Arizona with my husband, our two young children and our formerly feral barn cats. When I am not sneaking moments to work on creative projects, I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, exploring the forest, Disneyland trips and road tripping to the family farm in Northern California. I actively share our adventures on Instagram and I am what I call a “sometimes blogger”. That said, you can find me at all of the following social media links:
Hi! I’m Meg but you may know me better online as TravelScrapSleepRepeat. Born and raised in Wisconsin, I’ve spent most of my adult life living in Wales with my boyfriend Ken. I started scrapbooking when I was 12, levelled up by working in a local scrapbook store at 16, and never stopped documenting. I’m primarily a chronological scrapper and I transitioned entirely to pocket scrapping in 2010. As a nomad at heart, 2020 has grounded me indefinitely and I’m using all my creative outlets to get through. I am so honored to be part of the support community at Light The Path in 2021 and embrace the opportunity for growth as a person and as a maker.
Hi Friends! I am so honored to be a part of the Light the Path team! I am looking forward to a new year and new opportunities to take my scrapbooking to a new level with the LTP workshop and the beautiful hybrid collections and to encouraging you to do so as well. I live in NW Ohio with my husband. We do not have any children due to infertility, but I don’t let that stop me from documenting our life! I’ve been scrapbooking for over 20 years and have not tired of it yet! I love Project Life and I also include 12×12 layouts in my albums. I just recently started working in Life Crafted albums and travelers notebooks. The variety keeps this craft so interesting. I want to do it all! The scrapbooking community is the heartbeat of the entire industry and for that I am so grateful. I also love to read, collect and care for my succulents, and practice my photography. I look forward to sharing my projects with you!
Hi all! My name is Le (pronounced Lee). I’m super excited to be here with all of you. I live in eastern Iowa with my 11 year old kiddo, Levi. We share our home with two brother cats – Max & Finigan. I work remotely in continuing education and also homeschool my son.

I’m Kate from Edinburgh, Scotland. I’m a mum of 2, a feminist, advocate, and PhD student. Scrapbooking is a creative outlet for me, I love showcasing my best photos while experimenting with new formats and techniques. When I’m not playing with paper or digital supplies, you can find me reading (Sci-fi, Afro-futurism, or anything by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie), or playing video games with my youngest.

I’m Zakirah from Malaysia and I’m really grateful to be part of the Light the Path 2021 Design Team. I’ve been digiscrapping since 2007 and it’s been a therapeutic and healing hobby for me as a person living with mental illness. I scrapbook in 12×12 format in traditional scrapbooking style and also Project Life, mostly about my family, my recovery journey, and other life experiences. Besides scrapbooking, I also study Psychology and advocate for mental health awareness. I look forward to embark on this collective healing journey and support each other in our recovery – let’s light the path together.

Our Design Team Coordinator Maribeth Lysen:
I’m Maribeth, a Seattle native who’s been in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the past 13 years. I started scrapbooking as a teenager but didn’t get serious until I discovered Project Life and pocket scrapbooking in 2012. I’ve been a hardcore documenter ever since. I like a lot of words on my pages so I’m a hybrid scrapper. I enjoy splashing around paint, I keep an art journal, a traditional journal, and a digital planner on my iPad. I love playing around with different sizes and formats and with different mediums. Lately, alcohol inks are my current love. I’m also a big fan of pretty stationary, meditation, a good set of ink pens, and photography. I live with my fiancé, soon to be stepson, and my pug-mix Jack.
