Larkindesign Kids Scrapbook Album Project | Emberlynn Edition Fourth Grade

Hello Lovelies and welcome back to our Kids Albums Project! Learn creative ideas for your kids scrapbook albums with these great scrapbook layout ideas. Today I am working in our daughter Emberlynn’s album and we are documenting her first day of fourth grade! You can see lots more ideas for your kids scrapbook albums through this link here: Larkindesign Kids Albums Project. So let’s get started on today’s layout!

One of my favorite ways of beginning a new layout is simply by picking a fun patterned paper and cutting it up to make a brand new background. This gorgeous rainbow paper from Amy Tangerine’s Picnic In The Park collection is the perfect background for our rainbow loving girl.

First cut apart each individual swash of color, and then decide which ones you want to use for your layout. You could easily use each of these as well, and not leave white space between each one! I wanted the white space in between for my layout as it allows room for these bright happy colors to breathe, and it creates fun space to do creative things.

Each swash of color also makes for a great space to add fun embellishments. I have added my title and her name, using the glitter alphabets from the collection. They are to die for! I also added just a few tiny embellishments with the words to draw your eye around the page.

My photo here is of three of our children on their first day of school. This was the year 2014, and our oldest was off to middle school by himself. These three had such a fun year riding the bus together and hanging out. This was Emberlynn’s first year in her new school, as we had just moved here into our house, and I am so glad she had Nick and Natalie to accompany her that day. They had the best year!

I wrote my journaling on one of the notebook die cuts in the ephemera pack, and simply tucked it underneath the photo. I added flowers and banners around the photo. That big rainbow bow incorporates those awesome colors as well. And then notice the dotted line stamps? I used some ink cubes and a line stamp from Elle’s Studio to create that fun little extra to the background.

This was incredible fun to share with you! Thanks for joining me, and I’ll see you again soon!
