Kids December Through The Years Project | Natalie Years Two And Three

Theresa Moxley Kids December Through The Years Project | Natalie Years Two And Three

Hey everyone and welcome back to our Kids December Through The Years Project! For this series I am creating an album for each of our four children featuring their Christmas memories from tiny babies to age 18. This project was inspired by Natalie, who has long been telling me that she was going to take all the December Daily albums with her when she moves out! This way she doesn’t have to take them, she can take her very own, and they all will have their own Christmas memories documented in this very special way. If you’d like to see more that I have completed on this project, check out this link: Kids December Through The Years.

Today I am sharing two layouts with you from Natalie’s album, for her Year Two and Three. These particular years were kind of bittersweet, as we were right in the middle of divorce. Even though those were hard years, the photos hold a special meaning. I think time has a lot to do with that – waiting to document these years once the dust settles and we are able to say that everything worked out for the best. These photos also show proof that they still laughed and had a great time and continue to find love throughout hard times, and that is the best part.

For Natalie’s second year, I had the back of the 3×8 insert plus a 6×8 page. I used an Ali Edwards template: December Stories 6×8 Layered Templates Vol. 02. I’ve used this template for journaling mainly, and then I left room for a physical embellishment next to the words. That space was perfect for the number 2, which represents her age that year. I also added a strip of washi (Crate Paper) underneath the photo, and added the date plus a puffy heart at the bottom. On the back of the 3×8 insert, I added a pink circle, which is from Studio Calico.

For her third year, I used another template so I would have space for the journaling. It’s the same template pack as above, and again I left room at the top for a number (Heidi Swapp) and the date. I also had a 4×6 photo that I wanted to include, so the layout goes across to the 4×6 pockets as well. The top pocket has a lovely scripted filler card, from Paislee Press, and I added very simple gold stars as embellishments. Those are from Studio Calico as well.

Thank you so much for joining me today in our December Through The Years! I will see you again soon!
