For my layout today, I printed out all my photos and quickly realized how bright and colorful they all were! It can be challenging to work with such bold colors sometimes, but I have a fantastic tip. Select a neutral scrapbook kit to go with your bright photos, so the photos will pop against the neutral colors! I chose Project Mouse Vibes collection, which worked out beautifully.

As we found with the Wizarding Worlds of Harry Potter, we found that Seuss Land brought the elements of these classic children’s books and movies to life here so well! Alan and I had so much fun exploring and seeing all the fun things. We especially liked trying to figure out which books or movies the elements came from. I love the photos that came from this part of the day. We had a break in the weather, as it rained a lot that day, so I didn’t have as many photos as I might have liked. I decided to print a 6×8 photo as a focal point for the layout, the sign for this area of the park!

The title card is a bit of a secondary card, since the enlarged photo really identifies where we are in this layout. I used this starburst card as the base, and added my title using alphabet stickers from Studio Calico and a few acrylic stars from Colorcast Designs. In included a 3×4 journal card below that, plus a fun bright yellow filler card. The label is Elle’s Studio, and the word sticker is Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper.

At the bottom you can see the train we rode on, which they call the Trolley Train. It’s on an elevated track that lets you ride above the roof tops and look out over Seuss Landing. Too cute! I snapped this photo before we hopped on.

Of course Dr. Seuss is known for playing with scale and proportion, and I found this little entrance to one of the gardens particularly funny. I am not quite 5 feet tall, and I had to bend down to get through! Alan took this photo of me, and I added a simple word sticker on top of a wooden heart.

There were so many fun details! The topiaries and the flower beds were amazing. For another journal card I used a grey neutral card from Vibes, and after I added me words I adhered a couple of enamel arrows from Fancy Pants.

For the right hand page, the enlarged photo takes center stage, letting the reader know exactly where we are in the parks.

Patterned cards make such great filler cards and provide a great opportunity to add little bits and bobs. I have added these turquoise word strips across my page in several places as a way to draw your eye across the page.

I added another journal card, the red one, which gives a pop of color.

The Today In Review card was so much fun to make! I made it mostly about how much rain we had that day. It was divided into three columns, one for each part of the day, and I repeated Rain, Rain, Rain across all three. This card can be used anywhere in your Disney or Universal layouts!

The enlarged photo of the sign really stands on its own, but I did add just a tiny strip from Elle’s Studio with hearts and stars, with a stamped sentiment right above. Perfect.
