December Daily 2022 Here We Go! | My Introduction Pages And Day 01
Hi friends and Merry December Daily to you! I love how this project makes the very first day of the month extra exciting, because we get to begin filling in the days in our December Daily albums! So that is what I will share with you today, I had not yet finalized my Introduction Pages so you will get to see those, and also my page for Day 01. If you’d like to see all the blog posts for this album so far, check out this link: December Daily 2022. Check out my process video below.
I had already designated this adorable little tree transparency as my intro page when I did my foundation pages, and carried out my intention to add very simple journaling behind it. First I printed the journaling out on vellum and then I also added the white card stock behind it so it would be easier to read. It looks gorgeous layered onto that floral!
I added the puffy sticker title, chosen specifically because it was different than just the “Reason Why.” The Ivy stamp set from Felicity Jane had these little asterisks and I discovered I had these red wood veneer ones too, and they go perfect on this page!
For the back side of the Intro page and for Day 01, I decided to use the All Is Bright transparency I created earlier. My photo for Day 01 is of Alan trying to trouble shoot some of our light strands, also part of the story. I took the teal/mint patterned paper I had chosen to go with it, flipped it upside down so it could go on the left side, and it now houses the fun little calendar I made with an old calendar page (also Felicity Jane). Did you see in the video, my little big dumb moment? It was originally intended to be a two page spread, but I’ve cut it down and made it a flip-out. Great recovery there!
Here you can see the inside of the calendar! I’ve used up all those cute puffy stickers, the day numbers, the December word, and some of the cute icons just to make this great little insert.
And now for Day 01! It’s hard to believe we are already starting these pages, like we blinked and Fall was gone! I felt like the All Is Bright transparency was the perfect layer over top of the photo for this day. As always seems to happen, we had light strands out and I captured this photo of Alan trying to trouble shoot what had happened. I love how the light is shining onto his face, and to keep it simple I added my journaling on the vellum just across the bottom. I mentioned in my video that I want to use the vellum journaling trick more throughout this album. It especially helps me to tell more of the story – typing it up in Photoshop, making time to think about it without being on camera.
To keep the vellum in place, I added the little washi strips, and I also folded it under and tacked it down on the back with washi tape. For the day number, I’ve used the Ali Edwards chipboard number 1 layered onto a vellum heart from a past year AE kit. So very simple and easy to pull together quickly!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I am so excited to share these pages with you again this year and I hope you are inspired! Merry December to you!
