December Daily 2022 | Days 02 Through 05
Hi friends and welcome to a recap of my December Daily 2022 Album pages from this week! I am feeling so great about my progress in this album so far, and today I will be sharing Days 02 through 05 with you. We are already making some wonderful memories this month, I am constantly reminded to hold onto these times, take lots of photos, and get the pages made! My start for Day 01 was awesome, and so I am going to keep rolling. If you’d like to see the previous posts for this project, check out this link: December Daily Album 2022. Let’s get going, have a look at my process video for Day 02 below.
Day 02 | The Build A Bear Advent Calendar
My story for this layout was about River and their Advent calendar they chose from Build A Bear. I had a series of photos to choose from, so I decided to use this Ali Edwards hybrid layout along with tags from the Digital Main Kit I had completed earlier as a foundation page. This is the perfect home for this story!
Having the foundation page already done meant all I had to do was print photos (5 minutes) and add embellishments plus a few patterned papers (about 20 minutes). I printed several of the patterned papers from the Ali Edwards digital main kit as fillers, kept the physical embellishments I had already added, and also chose a physical journal card from Paislee Press to use for my journaling. I also added a few dimensional embellishments, the number 2, puffy hearts, puffy Santa, the wooden circle bit, and the chipboard Joyful piece!
Day 03 | Addison Moves Out With Clique Kits It’s A Wonderful Life Kit
My story for this day was about our oldest son Addison moving out. I was helping him pack his car a bit and used that photo as a full page, along with a template from Ali Edwards’ December Daily release. I created this page for the Clique Kits Creative Team, so I used the It’s A Wonderful Life embellishment kit to add all the fun details.
An embellishment kit like this is perfect for hybrid scrapbook pages! I really loved the Jenni Bowlin Bingo card from 2008, so I used that for my day number along with the number and the title, layered around that gorgeous green ornament. I also used one of the poinsettia die cuts and that beautiful grey ribbon, just the tiniest bit. This was such an easy page to bring together!
Day 04 | Exploring Winston Salem With Sahlin Studio Mad For Plaid + December Days 07
My story for this day was about a fun drive Alan and I made through Winston, discovering the access to this cool walking bridge over Business 40! I don’t do heights, but it was super cool to see the outlook over the city and grab a couple of photos. I’ve used the Sahlin Studio Mad For Plaid digital kit to create a gatefold and the number is from December Days 7.
Gatefolds are the best for creating a space for multiple photos, which is exactly what I wanted to accomplish on this page. First I created the background with two patterned papers from Mad For Plaid, and the snowflake cut file. Then I printed and cut all three photos to size, printed my journaling to go on the back of the smaller photos, and then adhered everything together. I layered the number 4 on top of one of the snowflake cut outs to create the handle for the gatefold. For some very simple embellishments, I added the clip from Crate Paper, the Believe and chipboard word strip are Ali Edwards.
Day 05 | Silly Moments With Alan Using The Naughty List From Traci Reed Designs
It’s super important to make silly moments with your partner in life, and I saw these fun embellishments in The Naughty List by Traci Reed as the perfect prompts for this silly moment with Alan! I created this page in Photoshop first, laying out the string lights on top of the patterned paper, then printing and cutting it in my Silhouette. I also laid out the four photos to create a simple progression of photos that could be tucked underneath the lights.
My day number is one from Colorcast Designs from last year, and then I created these fun embellishment clusters on both sides with all these super fun embellishments from The Naughty List. The words are popped up with dots to give them a bit of dimension. For my journaling, I just hand wrote directly on top of the photos, following the line of String lights.
And that is where I am currently at with my album! Thanks so much for following along, see you again soon!
