December Daily 2020 Days 12 thru 15
Hi friends and welcome back to last year’s December Daily album! I am still working through my pages to complete my album and today will be sharing Days 12-15 with you. This album is slowly filling up with some of the best stories of the year and I am falling in love. This project may have its ups and downs sometimes, but I always come back to it and find that magic again! You can see the process for this entire album at this link: December Daily 2020. For Day 12, I had begun with a design team assignment for Sahlin Studio using Sahlin Studio Favorite Things collection plus the December Days No. 06 You can see how I created the foundation page here: Sahlin Studio Foundation Page. These numbers inspired me to create an Advent-inspired page, and now that I am revisiting this page, I decided to include some of the sources of inspiration I found from the month of December. I went looking back through my phone to see different things I had saved screenshots of. I discovered some of my friends had left me kind messages, so I included a few of those. There is also a word art from Amy Tangerine and some of Megan Harper Nichols’ encouraging art as well.
In order to finish the page, I opened the template back up in Photoshop and clipped the images to the number doors. I then printed and cut them all out and adhered them behind the appropriate doors. I loved how this came out so much that I might start incorporating something similar into my other album projects.
Day 13 is a very simple – and beautiful – page template from Ali Edwards. I actually used a template and an overlay, printed the template out and simply added the number (Sahlin Studio) and puffy sticker. These are the links for what I’ve used throughout this album project:

Day 14 is a little pocket that I cut down similar to how Ali had cut hers down. I made mine a little bit taller so it could go up to four punches, and then I also punched out the circle so you can pull the card. To number my page I added the black chipboard number so it would stand out against all the white, along with the tiny red puffy sticker. For the journal card, I’ve used a 3×4 red and white card. Words, a stamped sentiment, and a tiny heart at the top to serve as the pull tab make this easy and done! My story was about visiting Jerry’s Art Supply, and they had this adorable little street sign in the acrylics aisle! So I printed that and adhered it to the back of the journal card, and slid it right into the pocket.
Day 15 is my own version of Ali’s quilted heart. I think I cut my triangles a bit bigger than hers, so my heart looks a little different and it’s bigger overall. I chose the simple wooden 15 layered over a black circle label (both Elle’s Studio) to number this page. My story for this page was about trying to wrap this giant present for Nick for Christmas, so I printed the photo to fit across the inside of the heart. I held onto a heart template, which made it a little bit easier to cut the photo and the patterned papers. I also added just a few puffy stickers as very simple embellishments.
The back side of Day 15 was just a bit of patterned paper from Crate Paper, cut and adhered to the back of the heart. I added a journal card from Studio Calico and a punched circle at the top. I also used a chipboard across the bottom, same as what I did on the front of the heart.
