Hi everyone and welcome back to December Daily 2020! I am wrapping up the Foundation Pages today and will be sharing the full flip through very soon. Today I have a page using the Sahlin Studio Favorite Things collection plus the December Days No. 06. I had so many cool ideas flooding my brain when I saw this kit, but also had so little time. I decided to create a fun Advent Christmas tree inspired page! Follow along with how this came together. If you’d like to see more posts from this album, check out my link here: Theresa Moxley December Daily 2020.
Make sure you are signed up for our Newsletter, especially if you are interested in creating a page similar to mine! I will be sharing a BLANK printable page that has the doors at the end of this month, along with the other page ideas I have been sharing! I was inspired by a bunch of similar Advent calendars that can be found on Pinterest. For this page I decided to add 12 numbers so I can use it on Day 12 to document Twelve Favorite Things!
The page is constructed of two layers of card stock. The top layers has the doors with the numbers, and the bottom layer will be where I will add my journaling. This page allows me to have a day that doesn’t require photos, unless I want to. If I do decide to have a photo, I can always add that to the facing page once it’s in the album. A few of the doors didn’t have numbers, so I added a few tiny embellishments to those. I’ve added the felt stars, heart, and two little foil trees.
You can see how each door is outlined with a box. This made it easier to cut out the doors. I cut within the lines, and once everything was cut the lines look a bit like a door frame. There is something so eternally satisfying about all this white space, but I also wanted to add a few embellishments around the doors. The Favorite Things collection had the most beautiful birds, which I have printed and cut out. On the opposite corners, I used the Ali Edwards star stamp set to add a few twinkles and the word sentiments.
This one is all ready to go! Thanks so much for joining me today! See you again very soon for the full flip through of my album before the start of December.
