Clique Kits Creative Team Travelers Notebook Layout ft Here Comes the Sun
Hi friends and welcome to my very first layout for this term on the Clique Kits Creative Team! Previously I was on this creative team back in 2018, which seems like years ago, and I am so excited to be back on the team. The Clique Kits are always beautifully curated, unique kits and their shop always showcases a variety of companies from different areas of the world. Today I am working with the Here Comes The Sun kit, which features products from Pretty Little Studio. I’ve used them to create a few pages in my travelers notebook to document some of the flowers by our mailbox last year. You can see other projects I’ve created documenting our flowers via this link: Travelers Notebook Layouts. Follow along with my full process video below.
This layout started with the vellum as my jumping off point. I was inspired to cut the stripes on the vellum and sew them onto another vellum for a bit of texture. I had two 3×4 photos, so I sewed my own pocket page for those, and I also had a full page photo that I’ve punched and added to the album as is. The album I am working in is also from Clique Kits, produced by Freckled Fawn.
For the full page photo, I did add just a tiny word banner at the bottom and a few of those adorable sequins. Many of the Clique Kits include sequin mixes, which I absolutely adore and I love finding ways to incorporate them into my pages. They are perfect to highlight the little word art and they keep the embellishing to a minimum so the flowers take center stage.
On the back of my photo I used one of the patterned papers from the kit. I liked this diagonal, diagonals always add such visual interest to any page. Funny thing – the patterned paper was just a tiny bit short so I cut what I had apart and added an additional strip in the center to cover the seam. Perfect! I also cut up two of the floral embellishments and tucked those into the seam, and then stamped the word sentiments using an older roller stamp from my stash. When I sewed the pockets, there was a little strip left over in the page protector, which was the perfect spot for more sequins! I love all those tiny hearts and flowers, and the extra pop of color they give the page!
On the back of my page protector is another 3×4 photo plus my journaling. I really loved the gold circles on that last card, and found the perfect little spot for my journaling right at the bottom.
These were such fun pages to create, thank you for coming along with me today! See you again soon!
