Clique Kits Creative Team | Halloween Layout With Eastwick Kit ft Simple Stories

Hi friends and welcome to my scrapbook process for today! I am sharing a creative team layout for Clique Kits, with the Eastwick Kit featuring Simple Stories. This is a fabulous kit perfect for your Halloween layouts, and that is exactly what I chose to use it for. If you’d like to see other layouts similar to this that I’ve done in the past, check out this link: Traditional Scrapbook Layouts. Have a look to my process below.

My story for this layout is from last year, when I dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. I chose an easy patterned paper to start this layout with, because it has the design work already done for you. The digital banner and layered elements at the top inspired me to balance it out by mirroring that on the bottom, only with physical elements! First I laid down a mixed media  background using the simplest paint splatters. The paints I used are Adirondack itch Black, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray in Carved Pumpkin, and the Art Screen Ink is by Heidi Swapp in Silver. I used that along with a stencil from my stash to add the stars and dots, just for a little sparkle on the page.

After the background was dry, I adhered my photo sort of in the bottom right hand corner, and then just began adding die cuts around it and extending out in a horizontal line across the page. It was so fun just to tuck all those cute items and they look like they are exploding out from behind the photo! I also added a little ribbon to the tags, the little bottle cap, and stamped my date with an older roller date stamp from my stash. The last thing was my title, created with a simple black alphabet from Elle’s Studio and some fun enamel dots sprinkled around the page!
