Bermuda Layout No. 04

Hi guys, today I am sharing the next layout in my Bermuda album with you! I am working with more photos from around our hotel, Grotto Bay, and am using some of the journal cards that were offered as a thank you for completing my survey!

Here is a look at my completed layout:

One of my goals in this album is to include enlarged photos and/or traditional layouts, and this layout wins with a large photo on the right hand side! This photo has my heart because of the beautiful colors. I just want to stand right there forever.

This was the path from the common areas of the hotel back to our rooms. I absolutely adore the architecture juxtaposed against the crystal blue sky. The embellishing is minimal, only a label cut in half plus an arrow and a rubber flower piece.

The left hand side includes more of our photos of the scenery. The journal cards are from the Survey printables and also from Studio Calico.

I journaled in my own handwriting on this layout. For one thing, I am lazy and just want to get the layouts done and want to worry about other details on the layouts. Wait, that was three things! I know some people struggle with seeing their handwriting on their layouts, and I will say that it is never too late to work on bettering your writing, if you feel like you want to. But I also feel that handwriting is a lot like any other artistic endeavor – yes it looks weird on the page because it is yours, and yes we are more critical of ourselves than of others. Do it anyway!

This may be my favorite photo from our entire trip (hey, it’s a new game- have a drink every time I say that throughout this project!). All of these photos are taken from one spot at the top of the stairs down to the swimming pool and beach. All around us such beauty. Sigh.
