Hello Lovelies! It is Wednesday and that means time to Art Journal With Me! I am loving these pages and hope you are inspired to create along with me. These pages are designed to help you create simple, uncomplicated art journal pages that don’t require tons of time or layers! If you are interested in seeing other art journal pages I have made in the past, click on this link here: Larkindesign Art Journal. Follow along below with these fun step-out instructions.

Begin with prepped pages, which for me in this journal means adhering several pages together, and then adding a layer of gesso. I have also been adding washi tape to the edges and the gutter before the gesso, just to add a bit of visual interest and give a starting point for the page.

For my background I used two stencils, the circle dot one from Vicki Boutin and the leaf one from Martha Stewart. The pink paint is Tim Holtz Distress paint, and the green is Kelly Green from Apple Farm. I also cut out some florals from a patterned paper from the Maggie Holmes Heritage collection. These florals set the color palette for the layout: pink, yellow, and green.

I then used a few of my Ali Edwards Story Stamps to add some sentiments to remind myself that my story is worthy of being documented, worthy of being loved, and is incredibly valuable. I used simple black Archival ink for the stamping, and note how the gesso impacted the way the stamps went onto the page. So simple, and so pretty. Thank you for joining me today! See you again soon!
