Hi friends and welcome back! Today I am sharing a Travelers Notebook layout with you, using the Cocoa Daisy Denim and Blush kit. The colors in this kit are absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t wait to get creative with it. There were some wonderful sentiments about hard days included, so that became my focus for this page: reminding myself that hard days will pass. If you’d like to see more pages like this, check out this link: Travelers Notebooks.
I had a photo of myself, that matched the blues of this collection perfectly, so that became my starting point. I also knew for sure that I wanted to use this beautiful floral! So I cut diagonal sections for the corners of my page, and then added all the additional elements along the diagonal lines that created.
The left hand side became the home for my title card, which says Storms don’t last forever. Before adhering that down, I stamped around the white space of the page using some of the branch stamps and navy plus blush ink colors. I then tucked additional die cuts and chipboard pieces around that card. I also used lots of enamel dots just for simple pops of color. The glitter dots are making me so happy in these kits!
The right side of the layout is the place for my photo. I also stamped on the background mostly using the blush ink cube from the kit. This stamp color was a bit lighter than the navy, and I like how subtle it is. I also added my date using the Becky Higgins roller stamp. And, just like on the left side, I also added some chipboard pieces, die cuts, and cute enamel dots as embellishments.
This was a great way to release some of the anxieties of the day – art is an expression of emotional, a release of energy. Are you creating today? I hope you are inspired. Thanks for joining me today! See you again soon!
