Hello friends and welcome! Today I have a very rainbow-fantastic layout to share with you which was created for the Traci Reed Creative Team this month. We are scraplifting Stephanie Aldaco, and I chose to use the Keep Chasing Rainbows collection for my page. Stephanie is such an inspiring designer and I was so excited to honor her with my scraplift. You can see more of her layouts, and the scraplifts from the creative team, on the Traci Reed blog here: Scraplift Stephanie Aldaco.

I’d like to show you the original layout, and also share a little about why I chose this one to scraplift. Stephanie has a great understanding of good page design! This is a classic asymmetrical page design, but it’s cleverly disguised as symmetrical.  She essentially divided the page in two, with three rectangles on each side. But they don’t exactly mirror each other, and this gives the page such visual interest! I love it.

Here is how I interpreted her original design. She used tiny stars and splatters on her background, while I chose just paint splatters. The collection I used was filled with many rainbows, so I created a rainbow background with paint splatters.

Where Stephanie did her heart embellishments, I used punched clouds, clouds printed from the collection, butterflies, and also the toothpick rainbows! I kept her page design the same, with three photos + three rectangular frames, that I then used for my journaling and my title. For my title I’ve used the You Shine word art. I also tucked the banners and the word phrases in and around all of these gorgeous embellishments!

I loved how Stephanie used her rectangular frames for journaling + title, instead of photos! So I did the same, using some transparent frames from Studio Calico. For my journaling, I grabbed some Jellyroll pens in green, as a nod to the frogs in the art work.

This was such a fun layout to create, thank you to Stephanie for the wonderful inspiration piece!
