TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17&19 Using Dear Lizzy Happy Place!

Hi there, I have a TBT layout today from last year’s Project Life to show you. I am working each week to try to finish up my 2015 album, and after this there are only four left to complete. Hooray! Here is the process video:

Here is the layout as I had created it last year. During the months that I was not actively scrapbooking, I was still taking time each month to print my photos and place them in the album. I also chose some products that I wanted to use at the time.

And this is the completed layout:

So you can see that I created the date card from the back of the overlay from the previous week, adding the Week 17 and a few of the confetti dots from the Dear Lizzy Happy Place stickers.

The word strips are perfect for Project Life in this collection. I loved the transparent overlay I had created previously from the Simple Stories I Am collection, so I left it as it was.

The kids had pulled out the Twister game and played the most silly, hilarious game that night. Yes, they are in their pajamas and were completely jacked up before bedtime, but they had an absolute blast.

Very simple embellishing on these two cards, a word strip and an asterisk and done.

I am seriously in love with this cherry embellishment, so I layered it onto the stripe card and added a stamped sentiment. I tried to use my Ombre stamp pad from Hero Arts, but the stamp wasn’t really big enough to see the Ombre. oh well. It’s still cute.

Again, minimal embellishments on these cards. I am learning, after doing Project Life for 4 years, that maybe it’s ok to leave some cards plain (gasp, sputter, horror! lol) and not fuss with them too much. This is good for me – last year I felt a sense that I was doing too much and have been making a serious effort to simplify these layouts.

For the opposite side, I decided to keep the title card simple.

The date card is next to the title card, with a quick tag and glitter alphas.

This journal card is from Elle’s Studio Cienna collection and I just added a little of the rub-on tape to add a little color and interest. So easy.

This journal card might be one of my favorites ever. One of the hard things about going back to older layouts, especially when journaling has already been added in the Collect app, is knowing what is left to journal? Do I need to add more journaling? This was a really fun list to make, that sort of calls to what is coming – the fun and excitement of summer!

This girl still loves her Barbie jeep, and both girls spent a lot of time going up and down that hill, all summer long. The journal card is also from Elle’s Studio, I believe, and the tag as well.

These glasses slay me. They fit little Miss and her sassafrass self perfectly, so there you go.

What a fun, fresh layout! I really loved working with Dear Lizzy’s products, as always, with their bright colors and fun motifs. I’ll see you soon with more creative fun!
