Sahlin Studio Design Team | Hybrid Layout For Addison’s Graduation
Hello friends! Theresa here with a hybrid scrapbook layout for the Sahlin Studio creative team. I always love the monthly templates posted on the site each month, because they allow me to plan out a quick layout, print it out, and add a few fun dimensional embellishments. I especially like these templates for boy layouts, because it seems to help me keep a simple layout with not too much on it. You can find this template for a while longer on the Sahlin Studio blog. Digital kits I’ve used are: Sahlin Studio Viewpoint. I have a process video for you, follow along to see how this page came together!
My favorite part about hybrid scrapbooking is that it allows for the textural elements to be added to the page, even on a boy page that you might want to keep simple. I chose a stamp set from Studio Calico to add a bit to the background, which was perfect on top of this beautiful wood grain patterned paper! The wooden stars are from Colorcast Designs and just add more bits of wood grain. This was just a super fun layout to pull together!
The story for this layout, of course, was our oldest son’s high school graduation. Addison is my bonus son, and I have been his bonus mom since he was about 8. There are moments where I proudly step back and observe as he and his Dad share their bond and this layout documents that so well. The Viewpoint kit allowed me to create a page about simply observing, while still making a great page that will go perfectly into Addison’s albums! It’s a win-win! I hope you take time today to create something similar, document moments that you observe. Thanks so much for stopping by, see you again soon!
