Project Life 2016 Week 15 | Freckled Fawn Bloom Kit!
Hi guys, hooray for Friday and I have just one more Project Life layout this week, from my 2016 album for Week 15. Here is a look at my process:
My layout was created in the Project Life App in 12×12 format, on my large format Epson printer. (They don’t pay me to say that).
I grabbed my Freckled Fawn Bloom kit to embellish on top, and I have used a stamp set that came with Ali Edwards’ Project Life class supplies.
I had a lot of photos this week, and many of them seemed to fit a 4×4 format, so I chose to work with Design P and Design Q layouts in the Project Life App.I began building a visual triangle on the page using circles as a home base for embellishments.
The photos from this side of the layout were taken on the day of my wedding show I participated in! A second grouping is located in the lower corner of this layout, again using circles.
I am absolutely in love with these leaf stickers from the Bloom kit! They feel like leather almost, and just look adorable on the layout.
To complete my visual triangle, I added a touch of patterned paper from Pink Paislee’s Fancy Free collection on top of an unfortunate accident that happened to this journaling card! I laid down some washi tape to see how it looked and lo and behold, that washi tape is stickier than I expected! So I messy trimmed the paper, added my journaling, and a leaf.
It might be a little of a stretch, but this little bow also fits into the visual triangle as part of the grouping with the journaling card. Maybe a little stretch, but it really is ok. I just like the white bow and of course, more leaves.
This layout, while very structured with the grids from the App, gained a little messy feel over the course of embellishing, which I really love. That is achieved by crossing some of the lines, placing embellishments off the card they are resting on, stamping messy images, and messy lines for journaling. I call this contrast – straight grid with messy embellishments! Lots of visual interest, but not overly done. I do hope you enjoyed, and have a great weekend! See you back here on Monday with an art journaling layout!
