Project Life 2019 | November Monthly Layout ft Paislee Press Autumn Vibes
Hello Lovelies and welcome back to our 2019 Project Life album! This is the monthly layout for November as we wind down to the end of this album. If you’d like to see more of the layouts and process videos in this album, check out our link here: Larkindesign 2019 Project Life Album. Let’s jump right in!
Our stories this month were all over the map! I did not know it was possible to include Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Disney AND my birthday all into one layout, but here it is guys! It makes me laugh so much but this is so very much how Thanksgiving feels, isn’t it? It all seems to run together. I have used the Paislee Press Autumn Vibes collection for this layout, which was perfect for its understated, minimalist look.
I mentioned in my process video how I am using the Larkindesign Print To Pocket Action No. 01 for all the design and print for my pocket pages and I wanted to be sure and link that for you. This Action provides the template for you to drop your photos and digital cards into, and the Action breaks it all apart into 4×6 canvas so you can either print at home or send it out. It also gives you options for borders!
As always, I begin my process with my date card. I added the gold puffy alphabets from Felicity Jane and those beautiful acrylic leaves from Colorcast Designs for a bit of color and dimension. Underneath you can see our Halloween plate rack! And a journal card I created in Photoshop by simply adding two word strips onto a blank white canvas.
We received our Disney Magic Bands sometime during that month, which was so incredibly exciting and had to be included! The girls were so anxious to see the bands and everyone loved the themes they each chose.
Sometimes life moves faster than the shutter, and the photo of my hand is proof of that. Alan had given me a new wedding band for my birthday, which was October 19th. I just got the opportunity to photograph that during this month! I could have included it in my October layout, but adding it here is fun too! The chipboard heart is from Studio Calico and the label is from my stash.
Nick was still participating in National Academic League, which is a national quiz kind of thing. These are all the participants from his high school, along with the mentors and teachers who assist with the league. It is against the rules to take photos while the competition is going on, but the yearbook moms always have them line up afterwards so I just line up like I am one of them! So glad to have this documentation of his activities!
The right hand side features a 6×8 photo of our lovely Christmas tree, which we put up early last year. I think everyone was ready to get in the holiday spirit, don’t you? We put it up before Thanksgiving, which was a first for us and I loved having it up for Thanksgiving dinner. This was our first year having a white tree and it truly was gorgeous.
The tree photo of course has its own presence on the layout, so I only added one tab at the top with a stamped sentiment. Stamp is from Studio Calico, the tab is from my stash. The rest of the page is from Thanksgiving dinner, which holds a special place as well. Every year I am so thankful to have this page at the end of each album!
At the bottom of the layout I created another simple journal card by adding a digital element to a plain white canvas. This left space for my words and I added a stamped sentiment at the bottom as well. Notice my spelling error? I just wrote right over top of it. Imperfections make this personal and authentic to who we are, you know?
I had another stamp set from Studio Calico that had this scallop circle shape that reminds me of our dinner plates and of pie! So I stamped that onto my photo and added another chipboard heart to embellish.
Autumn Vibes had some beautiful icons, including the moon phases and the scripted card at the top. I added an enamel heart to the filler card, from Pink Paislee, just to add a little something. I also stamped a circle sentiment into the moon on the phases card. So fun!
Thanks so much for following along today! See you again very soon!
