Project Life 2017 Week 24 Hybrid | ft. MPM June Curious
Hi guys! Today I am sharing my layout for Week 24 in my 2017 Project Life album. I chose the June MPM kit from The Lilypad called Curious, along with Paislee Press Pocket Guide No 03 as my template.
Have a look at the completed layout here:
This kit was so much fun to work with! I really love bright, happy colors in my Project Life albums, and this kit provides all that.
I loved the circle elements in the Pocket Guide template, so I made sure to repeat that element across the layout. It was so easy to notate the week number in this half circle!
With summer officially beginning, we took time to clean out backpacks from school. I also took a moment to photograph this really awesome roller coaster that Emberlynn built as part of her Maker Space club she participated in at school. It is made of paper and a little marble made its way down, down down. We decided that since it was paper, it probably wouldn’t survive, so photographs were in order.
Pool photos also made their way into this week’s layout. I also used some of the left over digital elements I have printed out from previous kits. I keep those in a little bucket on my workspace so they are easy to grab. All the labels and little elements I have added are from my little stash!
On the right hand side I included some cute cat photos, because cats, of course.
I love the graphic elements in The Lilypad monthly kits! The intersecting lines on this page give it a punch of color and visual interest, plus a clever little place to include just a sentences of journaling. My journaling on this layout, like most of my Project Life spreads, always includes little bits and sentences here and there as part of the overall writing. Each sentence makes up the whole.
Word art is always fun to include and they always layer so nicely right on top of journaling cards, don’t they? I loved repeating the half circle here again, as well.
My secret is out: I love Pusheen the cat and she has appeared yet again on my layout. I also just die laughing at this photo of Mickey the dog, and Zoe the cat. These two have the funniest love/hate relationship. They sit here beside each other in a rare show of solidarity, but turn their backs to each other just so, you know, you don’t think they are friends or something.
Thanks for joining me today!
~Theresa
