Project Life 2016 Week 40
Hi there and welcome back to my 2016 Project Life album! I have just about 4-5 more weeks until this project is complete and today I am excited to share Week 40 with you. Have a look at my process!
My layout began with a group of photos that I took while we were at Triad Park and I brought them into the Project Life App along with my journaling cards and patterned papers from the Shine Bright collection by Sahlin Studio.
I have created a traditional scrapbook layout from this day in the past, using different photos, but I still wanted to include this week in the Project Life sequence. This particular week was pretty busy and I did not really have any other photos from the week! Sometimes it is ok to just highlight one event in a week and not stress over it.
The left hand side features a large image of all of us captured in one quick, fun selfie. I am absolutely in love with the bright happy colors in the Shine Bright collection!
The bold graphics of the Numbers cards tell us quickly and easily which week we are in while allowing for complete flexibility in how you can use them. I added the glitter Thickers to spell the word week here.
I love to print the digital elements included in digital collections so that I have additional layering pieces for my layout. Typically I print one set on vellum and another set on cardstock.
Let’s take a look at the right hand side of this layout.
One thing I believe is super important to include in our Project Life is photos of Alan and me together. I love documenting our relationship in these albums and I hope that will be meaningful to our children in the future as well.
Printing the digital elements on vellum and cardstock gives opportunities to layer those elements just like I did with this awesome heart embellishment!
Another favorite technique: using washi tape to create journaling lines. This is probably becoming a signature for me, a way to easily identify my layouts, and I love it every time.
See you again soon!
