October Daily 2021 | Days 04 Thru 06
Hi friends and welcome to the spookiest season of all! It’s getting to be Halloween season, and I am picking my October Daily 2021 album back up again to share more pages with you today! I am so excited to see the fall season rolling back in, and especially thrilled about October Daily, I am definitely planning to create one for 2022 this year while also working to finish this one up. Last year I only made it to Day 03. Ha! You can see the progress I made at this link: October Daily 2021. I plan to share layouts with you on my YouTube and Instagram on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays this month, plus full blog posts with all the days on Fridays, just like I’m doing today. So check it out, here are Days 04 thru 06!
Day 04
So check it out, for Day 04 I turned Nick into a skeleton! He came to me with one of those last minute projects where he was supposed to create the human skin cells for his anatomy class. They had to use common household objects to represent the different things that make up skin cells, lay them out with labels, and photograph themselves with their project to prove it was them along with the date/time stamp. So I hopped over to the Silhouette Design Store and found this repositionable skeleton from Samantha Walker to be the interactive element on the page. This is design number 4828 in the Silhouette Store, if you’d like to try this yourself! I’ve cut him out from white card stock first, then offset and cut from black card stock, adhered each piece together, and then attached using brads. Also don’t you just love the little enamel heart?! For my pockets, I’ve used a journal card from my stash with a Tim Holtz number 4, and some older patterned papers from Crate Paper After Dark. By the way, you can still get the digital version of After Dark on the AC Digitals site! Here is my full process for Day 04.
Day 05
For Day 05 I wanted to document the outside of our house during this spooky season! In the past, I have not decorated for Halloween, but over the last few years I have been able to separate myself from my religious upbringing that created traumatic fear around death for me, and being able to enjoy Halloween is a fun benefit of that healing! This is one of the reasons I decided to participate in October Daily, so I could celebrate being able to enjoy this part of our season. This year was especially fun because we purchased this Mickey topiary from Lowe’s and, while it’s supposed to be Christmas lights, we adapted it so it would tie in with Halloween! I chose the Project Mouse Halloween digital kit to help me bring this page to life. I recently purchased some of the items from the Elle’s Studio Magical Memories release and here I’ve used the puffy stickers and stamp set. Notice those adorable numbers from Project Mouse?! They are the perfect way to date this page!

Day 06
For Day 06, I wanted to share the house during the day! Again, I wanted to highlight the Mickey topiary, and this time I brought in this fun Mickey spider ear cut file to help tell this story. I found this cut file on Etsy from Creations By Bellaaa. I’ve cut it twice from black card stock and then sandwiched the green vellum in between. I also left a bit of the vellum outside of the card stock so I could punch it and add it into the album. Perfect! To add a spot for my day number and a bit of journaling, I used two little banner shapes, one of them is upside down and then the little journal spot fit perfect inside of that. The wooden pieces are just from my stash, and that was all this page really needed! My process video is below.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I will be sharing these process videos on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with a blog post on Fridays this month. I hope you enjoy!
