Major December Daily Share | 2021 Day 24 And Day 25 Plus Completed Album Flip Through!
Hi friends and welcome back to December Daily 2021! This will be my final post for this album project, as I am sharing my process videos for Days 24 and 25, along with a full album walk through at the end. This has been an amazing project and I have loved every second of working on it, and I especially appreciate you all following along with me! Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and your visits to my blog! If you’d like to see all of the blog posts for this album in one place, check out this link: 2021 December Daily Album.
Day 24 | Kids Under The Tree
I made the funniest discovery right before I began filming, that I had hidden the entire Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks collection from myself, and then found it so that will be the star of today’s layout. Have a look at my process here for Day 24!
I had already created this transparency last year with my Foundation Pages, with the specific intent of using it for Christmas Eve. I had layered the house stickers and die cuts directly over top of the gold-foiled transparency, and then added the solid green card stock underneath. I decided just to add a bit of patterned paper and a bunch of the fun stickers and chipboard pieces along with my photo to complete this layout!
I printed my photo to just under 4×6 with a white border, it’s our annual photo of the kids underneath the tree. Except they don’t exactly fit under the tree any more, and now they just sit on the sofa! I had already added the tag and the man with the tree at the bottom, so I let that be the start of my embellishment party. I tucked a few things underneath the photo and some on top just to make it more dimensional. For my title I used the large Make It Merry sticker, and then tucked the adorable Santa and the squirrel around it. I also used up the chipboard ornaments, just letting them sway at the top of the page.
I still had the back of Day 23 as well, so I added another bit of green patterned paper and repeated the snowy paper on top, same as the right hand side. I created a spot for my journaling, and then I added some of those fun gold puffy snowflakes around. The cute little reindeer hold down the bottom corners, and I also found a spot for one of those adorable Santa puffy stickers!
Day 25 | Christmas Day
For this page I decided to use the Traci Reed All Is Bright digital kit with 12 circle photos. Watch my full process below.
The layout is a two-page spread housed on the mint green solid card stock included in the All Is Bright kit. It has a lovely printed texture and creates a beautiful backdrop for my photos. I also printed the adorable pom pom garland so it would stretch across both sides of the page, along with the patterned paper that has the same garland. That is printed onto vellum as a home for the day number. The felt numbers are from Ali Edwards, and they look perfect against the vellum, don’t you think? I added just a few embellishments from the kit, along with one more pom pom garland to tie everything all together on this vellum. For the layout itself, the circle photos are laid out in a basic grid pattern along with a few of the journal cards from the kit. I also used the 25 tag which has been overlaid with one of the patterns from the kit and then backed with the solid red before printing. I also added a few tiny puffy stickers, all from Elle’s Studio.
To help break up that mint background and help it tie into the layout better, I also stamped a few tiny stars around the page. Those are from Elle’s Studio as well. For some of the photos, I added little embellishment clusters, mostly word strips or stamped labels plus a gold puffy sticker. The second stamp set I’ve used is by Paislee Press for Studio Calico.
I have just one more page, the very last back page of the album. I’ve kept this so simple in the interest of getting it done, by just adding a patterned paper from Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks and a few stickers as embellishments.
And finally, here is a peek at the album completed. All in all I have loved working in this 10×8 size. I enjoyed having larger photos and larger page sizes and I love how it looks now that it is completed. It’s actually not too bulky, and in part that is because of the larger page sizes. I’m thrilled with having it completed!
December Daily 2021 Full Album Flip Through!
Of course, I know you’d like to see the full walk through and I am delighted to share that with you. This is a quick video with only music, as I feel like I have shared so much of my process throughout this journey. Enjoy!
Thank you all so much for following along with me for this album project! I’ve had so much fun, created lots of good stuff, and I hope you are inspired by some of my pages included here. And now, it is time for December Daily 2022. See you there!
