Light The Path Design Team October: Maribeth Lysen | Reflections
To get started on the prompt, I did some journaling early one Saturday morning. Typing out my thoughts as I worked through Theresa’s questions, inviting me to reflect on how people see me and how I see myself. Funnily enough, earlier this week, I’d had a conversation with my therapist about my core values. One of the things I love so much about LTP is the prompts always help me think deeply and always match up with inner work I’m doing. It’s almost like magic.
This month’s collection is by the delightfully whimsical illustrator, Mandy Ford. They are so fun, I couldn’t wait to play with them. I’m loving this soft color pallet, perfect for October. I dove deep into my archives and pulled out a digital template to work with from Scrapping with Liz. I’d purchased it ages ago but never used it. It felt good to use some digital stash!
Next I selected photos I felt matched the journaling I had done, even though only a small snippet of the journaling made it on this page. Later, I’ll add the art journal page I made to go along with this mont’s prompt in my album, so the rest of the words will be there. But I’d be fine if they weren’t. It’s okay with me that only I know why I picked those particular pictures.
I added the digital papers to my template and printed it out on Cannon photo paper. I printed & fussy cut the adorable pen. Next I pulled some puffy stickers from my fall stash to add to the the layout and backed it on a piece Webster’s Pages. I added some letter stickers and a couple of word strips and called my layout complete.
I hope you’ll join us for Light The Path this month. I’d love to see what you make!
