In My Pocket 2018 | Thanksgiving – An Event Based Layout
Hello Lovelies! Ok, so remember back last year when I said I needed to finish up my 2018 album? Yeah, about that……I literally have two layouts remaining in that album and then it will be finished! I know I am not alone in having unfinished Project Life albums, so I hope this will inspire you to just take a look at what you have left to do, and just go do it! You can see all of my videos from this project here: 2018 Project Life.
This pocket page layout is a two page, event based spread from our Thanksgiving. We had all the kids with us this year and loved having everyone around the table. So much good food, and wonderful laughter, and I had some really treasured photos as well. I am working with a combination of products and collections from Pinkfresh Studio for this layout.
I began my layout with a patterned paper from Everyday Musings. The floral is the base and I used the B-side for the bottom half. The Celebrate word is from Studio Calico, and I added just a few tiny embellishments, plus the word November. The puffy alphabet is also from Everyday Musings. On the 3×4 cards below the date card I added a few puffy stickers from Dream on.
One of the reasons I wanted to use Pinkfresh in this layout is because Everyday Musings had a pack of 3×4 cards and a pack of 3×4 pockets and I wanted to get those in an album somehow. The colors in this collection tie in with almost every other collection they have ever made, which made it really easy to coordinate and pull in products as I felt like.
I also had a stamp set from Studio Calico that was just sitting on my desk, and that came in handy!
When I look back at these photos, this might be my favorite Thanksgiving ever. We had so much fun around the table, and of course we ate such good food, and the photographs have that magical feel to me. I love when that happens!
For the right hand side of the layout I used more of the Everyday Musings cards as the jumping off point.
You can see one of the journaling pockets that I used, mainly for the pretty green scallop. I added one of the journaling cards inside the pocket and added a simple word sticker. I didn’t really design it to be pulled out, but the scallop and the patterned paper make for a really pretty pocket, don’t they?
I also used one of the transparency cards in one of my pockets, as a throw-back to a time when I used those all the time! The bottom card is a black and white pattern from Be You with a bird puffy sticker from Dream On, and enamel dots from Amy Tangerine. The Simple & Sweet puffy sticker on the photo is from, as you can guess, Simple & Sweet.
It feels so good to get one more layout completed, and just the last page of this album to finish up! I plan to share Project Life layouts on Thursdays as often as possible so I will see you then!
