IMP Design Team Meg Gundlach | The London Eye
Hey friends! We recently wrapped up IMP Collab Theme Parks 03 but even after creating six 6×12 spreads and 4 12×12 pages (there is so much content in that workshop!), I still hadn’t used some of my very favorite pieces. One reason that I have bonus goodies is that I couldn’t resist picking up the Celebrate (The Practical Scrapper) and Epic (Dunia Designs) add-ons from the shop. The collab workshop kits are literally designed for mixing and matching, which is totally my jam.
I had tons of supplies left out on my desk and it seemed easier to keep creating than to clean up. You’ve all been there, right??
I decided to let my products drive my page choice this time. There are so many fun icons and sentiments included that I was determined to make something other than a Disney page just to mix things up. When I was flipping through my leftover supplies, I realized that I still had several pieces with ferris wheels in there. Perfect! Not only were they totally usable, but I could go big with it—the London Eye.
I think I pulled out this yellow card from the IMP Collab Theme Park 03 collection and tried to use it on every spread so far, simply because I love it. The white box was precisely the right size for my title here so it finally has a home. Plus, it is digital so there is no reason that I can’t go print another one and try to use it on every spread again!
It was super fun to approach these products from a non-Theme Park direction. Is the London Eye ‘epic’? Absolutely, into the pocket! Was it the ‘best ride’? Maybe not in the way intended, but it sure works so that element is being used too! The IMP Collab Theme Parks 03 Challenges were aimed to encourage us to document our favorite moments using our favorite things NOW. There is no reason we can’t apply that to every project we are working on.
The right side of the spread holds cityscapes taken from the top + our tickets. I pulled out a London stamp set from Studio Calico and used just a few pieces to personalize my page. It was totally that easy to take this from a Theme Parks kit to an International Travel kit.
So happy that I got yet another spread finished from the same supplies, but in a totally different project. I think I maaaayyyy be ready to tuck this one back into my stash for a while….but maybe not. Don’t be surprised if you see this pop up again!
See something you liked? Make sure that you pop over to the shop to grab some digital collections for yourself! Though I consider myself a ‘paper’ scrapper, digital products allow me to access a whole world of creatives and support small businesses.
