IMP Design Team Ashley Krueger | March 2015 Celebrating Baby

Hey friends! It is Ashley again and today I am sharing how I used The Practical Scrapper’s Celebrate Kit to document my baby showers in my 2015 Project Life album. This kit is so fun and bright and I really enjoyed using it to document these special celebrations.

We were blessed to have a few different gatherings in honor of our first baby. All of those events took place in March 2015. I didn’t have enough photos and ephemera to make a separate project like I had originally planned so I added the documentation as inserts to my monthly Project Life spreads. For the first two, I started with Design G pocket pages. For those unfamiliar, this configuration is 10x12in and has two 3×4 pockets, two 6×4 pockets and two 4×6 pockets and are one of my favorites for adding event based inserts.

For the first page, I used three cards from the Celebrate kit. First, is the 3×4 with color rays. In the kit the rays start from the left hand side, so before printing I mirrored it so that they come from them right instead. I also flipped one of the balloon dogs, then I fussy cut it and the “yay” sticker.

Next, I created flip for the lower right hand 4×6 pocket. On the flip, I printed the blue 4×6 as a 3×4 and stamped the title on it. I paired it with a 3×4 photo as well. On the backside, I added another journal card from the Celebration kit. I rotated this one as well, and then added the Celebration label from the kit embellishments.

For the next page, I stared with the yellow and pink 3×4 journal card printed as a 4×6. I used an alphabet stamp from my stash and blue ink to add the title. Beneath that I added a journaling card that I printed out and layered over the cake filler card to repeat the bright yellow. In the upper right hand corner I added a filler card made from the pink and yellow balloon dog 12×12 digital paper. On top, I added a label from digital embellishments. The last filler card was printed directly from the kit. Lastly, I embellished the page with stickers and word phrases from a past Ali Edwards Week in the Life sticker kit.

The last page uses a standard Design A and has my third baby shower and another end of month event as well. I scrapped them together to round out the last page of March. The top left 4×6 holds two 3×4. First is a photo that was printed the wrong size. Instead of reprinting, I matted it with a 3×4 from a 12×12 digital paper from the kit. I did the same with the photo of myself in the middle row.

For the journal card in the top pocket, I layered another journal card on top of another 3×4 made from a 12×12 digital paper. For the last journal card on the left, I printed half of a 4×6 card from the kit. I used stamps from my stash to create the title. On the right, I used on old 3×4 from the Seafoam Project Life Kit (available digitally here) and a 3×4 journal card from the Celebrate Kit. I finished the page with more labels from the kit embellishments.

Celebrate is just a great kit for documenting all the things worth celebrating, whether big or small. You can grab it in the Designer shops!
