IMP Design Team Ashley Krueger | Day In The Life

Hey, it’s Ashley back with more Project Life pages. I have spent most of this year going back and documenting missing years in my albums. For me it works better if I go back to the point I left off and work my way forward so I have been doing 2015 Project Life.  Today, I am sharing how I incorporated Day In The Life into my monthly Project Life for May 2015 using The Practical Scrapper’s Discover Life kit.

To build my pages, I started with a Becky Higgins Design F style pocket page. This page is 12×12 with one 4×6 pocket and 10 3×4 pockets. That gave me space for a title card and 11 stories from the day. For the title, I modified one of the 3×4 journaling cards and added the text using canva.

After printing all my photos as 3×4, the next step was to go through the journal cards and papers from the kit and print them at 3×4. Using the color palette from the kit, I printed a few 3×4 cards that were solid colors.

During the community documenting day, I had shared my photos on Instagram. I used the captions as my primary journaling. From a previous kit also designed by The Practical Scrapper, I grabbed a journaling card that looked like notebook paper. I added my captions onto the lined card and printed just a bit smaller than 3×4. After laying all my photos out, I paired them with my 3×4 cards. Then added the corresponding journaling on top. To finish up each card, I added a label with the time stamped on it.

Lastly, during the documenting day I had shared 12 photos and when I was printing I forgot there were only 11 spaces for stories. To add in the additional story, I added a photo flip. This one was made using washi from my stash. Then I added a tab from the kit to finish the whole project up.

I hope you head over to the Designer Shop and grab the Discover Life kit from The Practical Scrapper. It is lovely and I cannot wait to make more pages with it! Check back here for more inspiration from the rest of our team throughout the month!!
