This layout came together with the most luscious, bright and happy colors that you can’t help but smile as you take it all in. I have used the Project Mouse Around the World collection featuring Mexico, which can be purchased through this link here: Project Mouse (World) Mexico.
The title card is always the best place to start, because you probably already know what it needs to say! The title cards in Project Mouse make it so easy and you could absolutely slide this card in just the way it prints! I love to add a little bit of something, and these wood veneer pieces are perfect. Underneath I added a journaling card with a few words, and a patterned paper with stars on top. The patterned paper has been sized down a bit to about 7 or 8″. Acrylic stars are from Colorcast Designs.
I absolutely love the variety of photographs in this layout. I have a photo of the building itself, several from inside the Three Caballeros ride, and one of myself and Alan before we went in. I love this one below with the banners across the top and the happy but cozy feeling in the ride.
Signage is always a good idea for photos, and notice how I captured this one simply right from where we were standing. Whenever you are taking photos in the dark, make sure to set your focus on the brightest part of the frame. Disney is always really good about putting light onto the words, or onto character faces.
One of the most fun things about having these amazing collections is then being able to find the icons in your photos within the collection. I absolutely love the photo of the temple before we walked in, and then notice the little circle bit underneath, with the temple icon. I am not typically a themed scrapbooker, but here I am all for it. I also have another patterned paper card. Again it is sized down for scale, and I added a wood veneer piece on top. The wood piece is from my stash from forever ago.
On the right side you will find the Three Caballeros! Ha! I added the little word strip from the collection. Underneath is that beautiful floral card, which is my favorite card of all in this kit! Plus the photo of Alan and me. There is more to that story coming later.
Underneath are more scenes from the ride. I always love the children that Disney includes, they are always so detailed and incredible!
This 4×6 card is purely decorative, and I had fun adding little bits and things just for fun. The patterned paper is very horizontal in orientation, so everything I added is also horizontal to keep that line. I added a simple wooden scallop piece (Felicity Jane), a label that I stamped words onto (Project Mouse label, Crate Paper roller stamp), a bit of washi tape, and another wood veneer piece.
One last photo, and just look at this guy. He is stunning! I am so glad I captured him, and I do hope this layout has inspired you with ideas on the kinds of photos you can take on your next adventure! That is the best part!
It has been wonderful having you here, thanks for joining us in Mexico! See you again soon!
