Hi guys! Happy Scrappy Christmas in July!!!! Join scrappylikeafox Tracey Fox and a bunch of us at the ScrapGals Facebook community to work on some Christmas projects this month!!!!
Today I am embellishing the cover and inside cover, and oh my gosh I love this part!!! I hope you will too!
I am so excited to share with you the completed cover! It seriously turned out awesome!
On the transparency cover I used some Basic Grey alphas that I have had in my stash for a few years now. They are from the Konnichewa collection and I thought they were perfect with just a tiny bit of grunge and a pop of red. I sewed on the numbers using red thread and then repeated the red as a seam between the patterned paper and transparency.
For now I have it tied with a simple white bow, kind of like a tuxedo, as the cover is still a little bowed. I am calling that charm. The album has charm.
The chipboard acts as an inside cover and is visible from the front, so the deer is partially visible when the album is closed. He is from Maggie Holmes Bloom collection. Once you open the cover, he is adorably posed along with a few stars and the very merry stamp from Ali Edwards. He contrasts beautifully against the white paint on the chipboard.
I cannot wait to get started on the actual pages of this album! The cover has been so much fun and I know the rest will come together magically as well. Thanks for following along!
