December Daily 2021 Foundation Pages ft Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks

Hi friends and welcome back to more Foundation Pages in my 2021 December Daily album! I am still creating a few more here and there before the month begins and having so much fun with them. These pages feel so much different than in years before, I think I am allowing myself more freedom and being more intentional about using the products I love. Today’s product I love is the transparency from Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks! If you’d like to see more from this album, check out the link: December Daily 2021.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this fantastic transparency this year! I have always loved Crate Paper, and every year the holiday collections they release make me so happy! I decided this transparency could use a little glow-up, and I used some of the house stickers and die cuts to do just that. Some of the houses came from Hey Santa! as well.

The funniest thing during my process was deciding when – or if – to stop! And I am still not sure if I am done with the page, I may still add more houses. I always get asked what do you do with the backs of your transparencies? I always add something on the back that is a similar size or shape. For this one, I cut another patterned paper in the same shapes. The paper I used was the cut apart sheet from Busy Sidewalks, which had a couple of cute tickets and tags. The best thing is to not over think the back side, just keep it very simple.

The best part about using transparencies is that you can see through behind it, so anything that is behind the page becomes a part of it. I decided on the card stock to add a little cluster with a journal spot, the cute little person, and the taxi. I’m not sure how I will add my photo and story, but there is plenty of blank space there! It will be fun to see how this page comes together. Until then, see you back here again soon!
