{December Daily 2016} December 3 & 4

Hi there, today I am sharing December 3 and 4 in my December Daily 2016! I am playing a bit of catch-up today after taking yesterday off from video and social media so I could spend some time with my kids! Have a look at my process for these two days:

Ok, Day 3 began like this in the foundation stage:

My story for this day was how my dear husband travelled to Heidelberg just to go to a very special store for me. When I was growing up in Germany we had a family tradition of visiting what was then called the Christkindlmarkt, now Kathe Wohlfahrt. For many years our tree was decorated with the hand-painted ornaments that we collected from that store.

Alan sent me some really awesome photos so I created an insert to be able to include the ones I wanted.

This photo of the waterfront easily became the anchor for the whole layout. Look at that gorgeous sky, and the city hugging the side of the mountain!

The other two photos are of store displays – one of the gorgeous Christmas tree, and the other one of some of their amazing cuckoo clocks. The number 3 from Ali Edwards is layered on top of the wreath from the Freckled Fawn Very Merry kit.

On the front of the insert I included this hilarious selfie Alan sent. The Be Merry underneath fits perfect with his moose-friend.

Underneath that is the photo of the storefront. Alan said this was most definitely a child’s wonderland!

I used the Dear Santa card from the Paislee Press mini kit to write down, literally what my wish list is. I only wanted something from Kathe Wohlfahrt and some yummy food from a German grocery store! Check out those amazing truffles!

I included this beautiful photo of the sunshine streaming into the street. I so remember and love those cobblestone streets!

The story for this day actually happened on Saturday (the day before), but it is totally ok to use that story here. The kids and I went to downtown Kernersville for Christmas Around the World.

I kept the tinsel card the same except for adding the glitter stars from Freckled Fawn. Since my journaling is on my photo I didn’t need the journaling space here.

I gold-embossed the back of the number 3 and the number 4 is layered on top of plain white cardstock with a stamped sentiment and vellum floral from Sahlin Studio Oh What Fun.

Our favorite cupcake shop has CAKE painted on the parking spaces outside their building, so we had to grab a snap of our feet right there. I also added a photo insert for this layout.

I created this simple insert in Photoshop by layering photo, journaling, photo frame, and just a few embellishments around the page. All of the digital elements are from Sahlin Studio Oh What Fun!
