Hello everyone and welcome back to my Wednesday series, Art Journal With Me! Today we are going to create a really simple affirmation page in our art journals, using scrapbooking materials we have on hand. You can follow along with the fun step out instructions on our Light The Path Instragram Stories and also right here on the blog every Wednesday. To create this Affirmation Page, I started with a collection that has been on my desk for a while now, Dear Lizzy She’s Magic. I love the fun colors and the elements of this collection, and particularly I liked the birds and houses. These elements can be pulled together to make a really fun vignette!
First I cut my patterned paper down to fit into my traveler’s notebook and adhered that into place. This paper acts as a sort of landscape background, notice that? The houses can float on the lines and other embellishments can float around them.
I added the bird and a few of the word strip stickers onto the page. The houses represent our neighborhood, which is peaceful and quiet. The bird represents hope that we will be free again! The word strips also bring in sentiments that I wanted to remember during this time.
For a final touch, I used a Citrus Twist stamp from the Best Of This Life kit to add a bit of black to the page. This becomes my title for the page, and the ampersand was a fun accent. This was so quick and simple, and so lovely to create. I hope you are inspired to create something beautiful today! Thanks for following along and I will see you again soon.
