December Daily 2019 Paislee Press Foundation Pages

Oh yeah, it’s time to get busy making some pages! Every season when the December Daily products begin rolling in, I am so anxious to open up all the packages and just take it all in. I encourage you to lay out all your pretty things on your desk and just start pulling things together. See what colors and icons inspire you. Start layering. Start building those Foundation Pages! Have a look at how I am creating my Foundation Pages using the Paislee Press mini kit.
The Paislee Press mini kit had such a beautiful color scheme this year, so I started my first page using this filler card with the colorful trees as the jumping off point. You guys know how I am obsessed with numbers and I could not wait to play with the wooden numbers (these were add-ons, not included in the Paislee Press kit). I used the Paislee Press stamp set to add the December word across the number.

Thank you to my hand model Natalie for helping me take these photos!

I added other elements from the page using the reds and more black and white in the kit. I cut down one of the 3×8 cards to fit across a vertical 6×8 page. For now that is layered over top of a black and white patterned paper, but that may be a photo later on.

I was also super inspired by this beautiful green in the kit. I am planning to incorporate this teal color in other places in my album, so it became the jumping off point for the next foundation page. I did not add a number to this page so it can be moved around later on if I need to.

I took the 3×8 star transparency and layered one of the white stitched felt stars on top to use as a divider. I am still madly in love with vellums and transparencies and will include them as often as possible this year as well!

For this layout I included the striped card, which gives opportunities to pull in any of the colors from the kit. Since I already had the green card, I then added a red background to the bottom card. I also cut down another 3×8 vertical card to fit across a horizontal card.

I cannot wait to see how this page will look finished!

The 3×8 vertical cards totally inspired me this year, anyone else? I created a fold-out insert for the album. I used washi tapes from Studio Calico to create the seams, and tabs from Recollections (Michaels brand) to add it into the album. Ribbon is from May Arts.
I plan to add photos to this insert, although I am really not sure which photos, or where it will go exactly in the album just yet.
Ok, those are the first Foundation Pages I have created. Next week I will share more. See you then!
