50 First Layouts | Stay Magical A Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout
Hey everyone, today I am sharing a layout that is part of my 50 First Layouts Series! I am using Dear Lizzy Stay Colorful to create this mixed media layout about our kiddos when we were visiting Asheville, NC last year.
Here is a closer look at the full layout.

I started off with an amazing background using Shimmerz paints – these are the Inklingz in Steely Blue Eyes, Blue Lagoon, and Bahama Mama. You can purchase these paints by clicking here.

I also used a silkscreen from Studio Calico and paints from Heidi Swapp to add some tiny stars and splatters to that background. When that was all dried I layered my flowers on the right hand side. I fussy cut them all out from one of the Dear Lizzy patterned papers, and then once they were adhered to the page I ran my sewing machine over the whole things. Ah the layers!

I’ve also added some stamps from Pinkfresh Studio around the page. It gives the background more dimension and ties it in beautifully with the photo and other elements of the layout.

I popped the title up using pop dots, added a few more embellishments + journaling, and call this one done. I love everything about this layout, how about you?
See you again soon,
Theresa
