Traditional Mixed Media Layout | Hello Lovely ft. Hazelwood!

Hi guys! Today I am sharing another layout in my Things I Need to Hear series. This is a mixed media layout using my Jane Davenport watercolors and stencils, and then papers and embellishments from Hazelwood.

I had a really quick fun selfie of myself in my studio and I knew I wanted to use my watercolors today, so those were my jumping off points. I used the Jane Davenport stencils with modeling paste to create the floral elements on my cardstock, and then filled them in with layers of watercolor.

I layered on patterned papers and embellishments around my photo using the Hazelwood collection from American Crafts, and added my title underneath the photo.

My journaling is a simple reminder to myself that even when the world makes us feel ugly, we are still lovely and still pretty.
